AlHokair Group for Tourism and Development hosted a ceremony in recognition of "Sparky’sAmbassadors" achievements. The event was held on Friday, March 4, 2015 at theHoliday Inn Palace hotel with 100 ambassadors. Mr. Mish’alAlHokair, the Executive Vice President of AlHokair Group and the General Manager of the entertainment sector, attended the event. 

All Sparky’s ambassadors are young volunteers of both sexes between the ages of 15 and 25 years old, who have received workshops on team building and leadership. The ambassadors volunteer at local and international events throughout the year. 

In 2015, more than 1,200 hours of volunteering recorded from more than 100 Sparky’s ambassadors all around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Sparky’s ambassadors presented plenty of diverse activity including a campaign that was executed all social outlets in order to collect messages and gifts for orphan children. They collected 300 messages and gifts and distributed across Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran. They also hosted a DIY workshop to help build a box for all the messages that were sent.

They also hosted an Astronaut Day, which celebrated the first Arab astronaut Prince Sultan bin Salman. They even played an audio recording of King Fahad bin AbdulAziz, may Allah have mercy on his soul, phone call with Prince Sultan bin Salman, from outer space to the attendees to encourage  kids to become astronauts.

Thy also hosted the Station of Knowledge,which offers educational trip between different stations targeting different interests such as dinosaurs, robotics, business and investment, writing stories, physical activities, autopsy, chemistry and cultural trips using specialized technology. 

Mr. Mish’alAlHokair emphasized the important role Sparky’s has since it combines high end entertainment with good quality education that will eventually help the community rise and prosper. 

He added that such a ceremony is a great way ofencouraging and recognizing of the important role these young ambassadors play in spreading scientific and cultural knowledge amongst children and adults. He also urged them to continue learning and reading as this has a positive impact on individual and the society as a whole.

He concluded that entertainment sectorhas become a major industry with multiple objectives in the advancement of societiesscientifically and culturally. All of this develops talent and cultivates a sense of responsibility and deepen the affiliation they have with their society.
